All makeup work and homework is due by Friday.
Many of my students have morning work to make up. Please make sure their morning work book comes back to school! September's reading minutes and responses are due by Friday. Students earn one point per reading minute with a total of 400 per month. Students should have four reading responses completed and turned in. These can be turned into the basket in class or emailed to me.
Our essential question this week is, "How can problem solving lead to new ideas?" We are going to learn about inventions and problem solving. We are working on asking and answering questions and sequencing. We will start our first essay on Utah Compose this week.
We are rocking it in multiplication! These kids are showing me that they can multiply AND understand the reasoning behind it. We are going to finish the chapter on understanding multiplication this week and we will review subtraction next week to prepare for division.
We are exploring ecosystems and living vs. nonliving things. On Wednesday, we had a special visitor who helped us explore these science concepts by studying tulip bulbs and building a terrarium with grass seeds and mealworms. We will be able to watch this mini ecosystem and compare it to the ecosystem of our axolotl.
