We are working on computer science storytelling and small groups. Our focus this week is nonfiction information about wetlands. Our writing assignment is a comparison of wetlands and forests. This ties into our science unit on Utah biomes!

We are working on BEHAVIOR during math. We are having a lot of messing around and talking out. Please reinforce positive behaviors at home, too.
We are working on fractions, ordering fractions, and mixed numbers. We are finding common denominators to compare.
We are growing sweet potatoes! This is partially for fun and partially to prove that plants do not need soil to grow. We have moved on to our unit on Utah biomes. We are learning about Utah's deserts, forests, and wetlands. We will explore the types of animals and plants in each biome and their adaptations that help them survive in that environment.
