This week, we will be writing informational essays using books checked out from the library. We started today by organizing what we will write. We are trying hard to leave out any opinions. This is tough!
We are finishing up last week's Reading Street story and we are working on a Christmas Reader's Theater. It's adorable! I'll take a video of it when we're ready to perform. If your child wants to practice at home, I can send you our script. Just email me!

We are working on double-digit multiplication. This is a tough concept, but the kids are doing great! Of course, we work on addition, subtraction, and fractions every week so they aren't forgotten.
In science we are working on rocks and reviewing the water cycle and weather. We will be doing an art activity this week that needs donations! We need large lids. These come from cottage cheese containers, yogurt containers, sour cream containers, etc. If you have some, please send them with your child! If we don't get enough, I'll have to change my Christmas gift plan. Hopefully we can do this art project!
Thank you for your continued support of our class!
